We have just had the honor of hosting our president, Dr. Paul Nyquist and our teammates, Carissa Monta and Jonathan and Sarah Chadbourn here at our church, First Evangelical Free Church of Maplewood!
Our Missions Leadership Team put together a fabulous dessert on Saturday evening where Dr. Paul presented on Avant's approach to church planting called Short-Cycle Church Planting. Tim and Spring Becker shared about their 5 years of work in Poland, and then we got to introduce our teammates and talk about the work that we are planning to do in Paris, France! It was a wonderful evening. Here's Dr. Paul speaking:
Sunday morning Dr. Paul preached on a text from Romans 10. It was awesome! We had the opportunity, once again, to introduce our teammates and share about the need for the gospel in France during the God at Work segment in all 3 services. Here's our team in action:
Then, we got to PLAY! It was a blast hanging out with our teammates. We took them on a driving tour of St. Paul and Minneapolis. (None of them had ever been to the twin cities before, and we thought it would be good for them to actually see the cities!) We spend the rest of Monday afternoon at the MOA (Mall of America). We're home for a week, then off to Chicago, then home for a week, then off to New Jersey to visit Carissa's home church for their missions conference. Life is certainly full!
