A quick update.
We journeyed toward the closing last Friday (Jan. 30th), but sat for 2 hours in a restaurant with our Realtor waiting to hear "yes - everything is ready to go" from our closing agent. But, it never came.
This week has been frustrating, to say the least. The lastest news is that all the pieces needed by our buyer's lending company have been assembled and once underwriting approves the last little detail (apparently the appraisal that has been transferred from the first mortgage company to the second), then we are ready to close. It sounds like PERHAPS Monday.
